This challenges all vendors to think alike and truly offer an open and easy method of communicating that will truly benefit customers of all sizes" said Evan J. Andriopoulos, CEO of easymeeting.net
As the only player in the market easymeeting.net will continue heavily investing in their technology and to maintain their strategy in making all conferencing solutions interoperable. How? by registering each system to easymeeting.net which includes Lync support without the need for considerable investments in a Lync server. Easymeeting.net now Lync enables any new or legacy H.323 endpoint for free by registering with the easymeeting.net cloud service.
"Many ask us why we invest in so heavily in offering free services like this, and the answer is easy as our services. Our mission is to make Videoconferencing easy, and it's not easy when you have to invest in lots of additional of infrastructure for calling other video conferencing systems outside of your company. In the telephone industry everyone is able to call to everyone and easymeeting.net believes that everyone should be able to call anyone also in the video industry, no matter what client they have" said Raymond Sebergsen, Product Manager at easymeeting.net.
One of easymeeting.net´s flagship services is a free gatekeeper service named easyNumber, making it easy to dial between video conferencing endpoints. The video end points are registered with easymeeting.net and listed in the free public catalog which allows an easy way to locate other video conferencing systems. By registering your video end point with easymeeting.net,each customer also receives free access to a boarder controller enabling DNS URI dialing and SIP support for your endpoint though a free gateway.
"The current model of the traditional video conferencing vendor is for customers to invest in lots of high cost infrastructure or «boxes» as I call it to be able to communicate with video end points outside of their own company, while those in the telephone industry expect an iPhone to be able to call a Nokia, HTC or whatever brand without the need of any additional infrastructure investments." said Andriopoulos."easymeeting.net endeavors to be the glue, or the dial tone, between the different vendors. With Lync support we are a step closer to realizing that vision» followed Andriopoulos.
Lync support from easymeeting.net is being launched as a "best effort" Beta service while they learn more about user patterns and needs from customers. It is projected to be a permanent service as part of the easymeeting.net´s free interoperability mission.
