FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) ? Farmingdale State College officials say they have increased security on campus after a threatening graffiti message was left in a men's room.
An email message to students and staff said "in light of recent events" officials are taking precautions including beefing up police presence.
Newsday (http://bit.ly/SLsz3C ) reports the message said in part: "Ima shoot up campus on Dec 18 2012. Be prepared ---- gonna kill as many of you as possible! -- ---- Killer."
Fischer told the newspaper the message is similar to one found in April at Newark Memorial High School in Newark, N.J. It reportedly is attributed to the group OFWGKTA, or Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, an alternative hip-hop group from Los Angeles.
The group says its music is "mostly fiction and comedic."
