Denver escapee may have deputy's uniform, gun

Authorities in Denver were hunting a prisoner who walked out of the Denver County Jail at about 7 p.m. MT Sunday night, possibly wearing a deputy's uniform and possibly carrying a gun and a police radio, the Denver Post reported.
Police identified the escapee as Felix Dino Trujillo, 24. He is described as 5-foot-6 and 143 pounds, according to police records.?
Dispatchers on police radio said Trujillo was in a deputy's uniform and carrying equipment, but a sheriff's statement issued at about 10:15 p.m. contained no confirmation of that, the Post reported. The statement said Trujillo "may be armed and should be considered extremely dangerous," according to the Post.
Trujillo was jailed on charges of aggravated robbery and a parole violation, according to information from the jail's inmate database.
He was being held on $75,000 bond and was to appear in Denver District Court on May 13, records show.

3Gbps LED light bulb WLAN achieved by Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute
We first noted it back in 2008: the possibility of using LED light bulbs for secure and directional wireless internet access. Well, the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute is claiming that speedy data rates of up 3Gbps have proven feasible in its labs. The boost comes from its latest enhancements, allowing the 180Mhz frequency to be used over the usual 30MHz, which apparently leaves extra room for moving data. If you'll recall, that's a significant leap over the 800Mbps top speed it achieved back in 2011 mixing various light colors. While this IR-like take on wireless internet access gains steam, remember that it's more likely to be used in areas where WiFi radios cause interruptions (hospitals, trade shows like CES, etc.) -- rather than a strip of mini spot lights from IKEA for the casa. (We can dream, can't we?) FHHI plans to show off the new gear at FOE '13, but for now you'll find the full press release after the break.

Feng Shui Career Area

It hasn?t always been like this though. Whilst I can?t claim to have ever had a career that I have hated, I have worked in roles which didn?t feel right. In my corporate career I was first of all in sales, then learning and development and finally recruitment and though there were aspects that I liked there were also bits that I didn?t like very much. Fortunately, having studied Feng Shui, I was able to make changes to my life which allowed me to utilise the part of the jobs I loved, coaching and training, and incorporate them in to a completely new career.
Everybody can change their life. All it takes is to balance your own internal energies, thoughts and emotions with the energy in your environment to bring about positive change. And if changing your life for you means a whole new career there are simple things that you can do in your home to strengthen the energy in your career area to give you a head start.
First of all let us look at where the career area in your home is:
The career area is the area in your home that faces north. This includes those rooms that are in the northern segment of your home and those areas in every room that face north. Energy in the north, career energy, is supported by water which itself is represented by glass, crystal, free flowing shapes and the colors black and blue. Ensure that you have some of these objects or colors in each of the areas in the north of your home.
Once you have identified the career areas in your home follow these Feng Shui tips to strengthen the energy.
Feng Shui Career Tip 1
Place pictures incorporating moving water in these areas. Pictures of oceans, rivers and waterfalls are especially beneficial as they give the impression of bringing you career success. Place pictures in silver metal frames as metal supports water in the cycle of elements.
Feng Shui Career Tip 2
Place circular or irregular shaped mirrors in your career area. As well as representing glass, mirrors have the added advantage of reflecting your thoughts. Whenever you look in the mirror focus on your career goals and aspirations to let the universe know what you want out of life
Feng Shui Career Tip 3
Place a lamp with metal or glass base in the career area of your home. The metal or glass will help strengthen career energy and the light will illuminate your thoughts and aspirations for your career. Try and buy a lampshade that is colored blue, black or dark grey.
Feng Shui Career Tip 4
Put a small glass bowl filled with crystals in the career area. Great crystals for career success are Lapis Lazuli, Smoky Quartz, Hematite and Jet.
Feng Shui Career Tip 5
Remember your garden is part of your home and should never be neglected when enhancing the energy in your environment. In the northern most segment of your garden plant evergreen shrubs for continued growth in your career and Narcissus as these are considered fortunate if you are looking for a new job.
Once you have finished strengthening the energy in the career area of your home, check your home for problems that may hinder your career fortunes.
Clear the clutter. In general clutter in the home is poor for energy, but for career energy it can be particularly damaging leading to unstructured thoughts, career disappointments and contracts that do not last very long.
Ensure the entrance to your home is welcoming. A shabby front door and a weed strewn path will prevent good fortune from entering your home. No matter how good you are at your job you will still need that lucky break that good fortune brings once in a while.
Ensure that water is minimised in the south area of your home. The south of your home is the area that supports your self confidence and self esteem, vital if you are looking for a new career. Too much water in this area can be damaging so if you have bathrooms or toilets located here ensure that you decorate these with warm accessories such as towels and rugs in reds and oranges.
I hope that this blog post has given you some tips for how to strengthen the career energy in your home to help your career success. Remember we all deserve to live the life we really want to live.

EBay Beats Out Amazon To Lead $50M Round In India's E ...
Online e-commerce giant eBay last week said that it expects to have 12% of its sales coming from BRIC countries by 2015 in a global e-commerce market that will be worth $300 billion, and here is one more step in that strategy: it is leading a $50 million, Series C investment in Snapdeal, an online marketplace in India with 20 million users. Existing backers Nexus Venture Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners and IndoUS Venture Partners also participated.
The news was first reported by Indian tech blog NextBigWhat, and we have now confirmed the details with our own sources. Snapdeal?s CEO and co-founder Kunal Bahl has declined to comment. It will make eBay a minority shareholder in the company, and this Series C investment means that Snapdeal has now raised about $102 million in funding since 2010, with the previous two investments being $12 million in January 2011, and $40 million in September 2011.
We understand that Snapdeal was not actually looking for such a big round but when it went fundraising for its Series C, but the response was more enthusiastic than it had expected, perhaps owing to the company?s currently crazy growth, with sales growing year-on-year?by about 400% in terms of gross merchandise value.?Among others that were interested was Amazon ? another sign that it, too, wants to doing more in emerging markets going forward. We understand that part of the reason Snapdeal went with eBay was it was a pioneer in the marketplace business model and has been pushing hard on its international strategy.
The news will mean one further step into India for eBay: the company already has a full subsidiary in the country, eBay India, but that only has 5 million users. Ebay India recently noted in its 2012 Census that it enables transactions at the rate of about 1 per minute. That?s for smaller items like mobile accessories and beauty products.
Snapdeal, meanwhile, was first established in 2010 as a daily deals site but more recently, in 2012, moved into a marketplace model ? similar to the one built out by eBay and Amazon, offering a platform for merchants to sell goods. This model has proven particularly successful in emerging markets where there are a lot of small businesses but a relatively young e-commerce landscape: a vacuum for those who come in to offer a platform to take those small businesses online ? one that others like Rocket Internet are also tapping.
Some of the verticals that Snapdeal has focused on include fashion, home goods, and consumer electronics and it now has 20 million users, or about 1 in every five Indian people who are online. It?s expected that Snapdeal will generate about $400 million in sales in 2013. The company does not have any immediate plans to expand to countries outside of India, TechCrunch understands.
Overall, eBay already has a strong business outside of the U.S. In its analyst day last week, Wendy Jones, VP of geographical expansion and cross border trade, noted that 61% of its Marketplace revenue comes from non-U.S. markets.
Within that, the BRIC block of Brazil, Russia, India and China are playing a key role. Last week, eBay chose to hone in on Russia?s role there: Jones called Russia eBay?s number-one priority for expansion, partly because it now has the largest Internet population in all of Europe, and partly because that population is still growing fast. For eBay in particular, Russian users bought $400 million in goods on the site in 2012, growing by 54% over 2011.
But that is also growing beyond Russia: eBay believes that 25% of total active users, and 12% of global sales will be coming from the BRIC block by 2015. Within that eBay says it wants to build out active users in BRIC and emerging markets 6.5-fold.
